| I got to shadow on a caesarian section today. It was pretty cool. I really feel like this (medicine) is what I am supposed to do. Although I doubt that I will do OB/GYN lol! In the PICU later I saw a very rare case. A teenaged youth who had suffered an acute myocardial infarction (heart attack). This made me try to puzzle out what could cause this, quite fascinating really. I love puzzles! God bless! |

| Sometimes I wonder if in our rush to avoid religion in all parts of life, If we have not created another. A religion not based on our foundation but one in direct opposition to it. Hmmm.....food for thought. God bless! |

| Wow it has been a long time since I last wrote. As I said in my last post my family now lives in Lincoln, NE. The summer is going well for me although i know absolutely no one here but i am try to slowly change that. After school got out at the beginning of May I went to Europe again with school. Probably the easiest I will ever get in my major. We went to Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, and the Netherlands touring battlefields of WWI and WWII. Needless to say it was a lot of fun. To catch all of you up to speed I have decided to major in History with a double minor in German and Chemistry. It is going to be a hard next three years but I am willing to do it to become an MD. I know that I always swore that I would not become a doc like my dad but the summer after senior year and this past one have really made me feel like that is my calling in life. This being said however I do not see myself doing general practice like my dad. I have joined a fraternity at school and have been having fun in what little time is left after my studying is done. I went into college hating orchestra and loving choir and I have now done a complete 180 on that point. In fact next year I am no longer going to be taking choir. College has been quite the catalyst for me, I never knew that I could feel so proud and yet so retarded at the same moment. I have really grown for the better. As some of you may know I was officially diagnosed with ADHD over Christmas break and the medication that I am on now really help me to focus in school. Unfortunately I have not been able to find a good church to attend at school but the one we attend in Lincoln is amazing. I am still single and proud of it, things are for the most part going well for me. This move has been easier on me than those in the past thanks to me going to the same school for the next three years. Hopefully this is the last time, my mother is refusing to move anymore so we will see about that. The place where my father works is pretty cool, all of the equipment is high tech and all of his coworkers are extremely nice. As opposed to some of his partners in Wichita who wouldn't give me the time of day. I hope all of you guys are doing well and I hope to see you soon. God bless!
